Black smoke was seen coming from Queen Elizabeth’s Mercian School in Tamworth in Staffordshire on Sunday night. Two fire engines were called out by a resident living bottom of the school.
Incident Commander Vince Parker told Female Imagination:
The house owners were burning rubbish in garden which then set fire to conifers connected to Queen Elizabeth’s Mercian School. Fire crews are putting conifers fire out. The school is not on fire, has been checked and is safe.
