Lickhill Manor Nursing Home nursing staff turned up to work in Nightwear to raise funds for Children In Need paying £5 each to wear there pyjamas to work instead of their uniform, also donating 50p to listen to music of their choice on lunch break.
The home is located in picturesque grounds overlooking the countryside and offers tranquil settings for both residents and staff to enjoy. The staff at Lickhill Manor have a dedicated nursing team let by staff who always ensure the highest standards of care and attention to all its residents. It is the philosophy of the home to be responsive to the individuals needs and to work in partnership with residents, their family’s and external supporting specialists from the NHS and Social Services to improve the well-being of those in our care, providing a home from home approach welcoming family and friends alike at a time when care is of the utmost importance.
In 2004 plans to build an extension to Stourport’s Grade II listed building were given the go-ahead after the English Heritage and Stourport Civic Society were concerned that any alterations should be in keeping with the building, especially as it was prominent from the River Severn. After they visited the Nursing Home they were more than happy, especially as it’s the only listed building in Stourport.
Sue Jones, Head chef, specialises in all areas of catering and all the produce used is fresh and produced locally providing a healthy well-balanced diet. Lickhill Manor also provides hairdressing facilities and has an activity organiser to listen and stimulate as little or as much exercise to the individual needs.
