Race for Life is the largest women-only fundraising event in the UK. Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run to help beat cancer. Some of the Race for Life women take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future.
Since Race for Life began an incredible 5.4 million participants across the UK raised over £362 million to fund the work of over 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer.

Thankyou to everyone who kindly dug deep and sponsored me in my Race For Life 2011. From your generosity I raised an amazing £190.00.
Did you know that 80p in every pound Paulette raised from you sponsoring her goes directly towards the work to beat cancer? Here are some examples
£10 could buy 300 glass slides for studying cells and tumour samples in detail under the microscope.
£30 could buy around 250 plastic Petri dishes. They’re an essential resource for thousands of scientists who are working hard to understand cancer.
£54 could buy 22 thermometers (range -10°C to 110°C) – indispensable for many experiments that need to be performed at very precise temperatures.
£94 could cover the cost for one woman to take part in a clinical trial aiming to improve survival for post-menopausal women with early stage of breast cancer.

Pat yourself on your back you should be very proud of your self, because of YOU, Cancer Research is now able to continue its research into Breast cancer.
Even though her race is over you can still donate to Paulette Fundraising Event
You can buy the official Race for Life 2011 soundtrack two-CD compilation for £5 in-store at Tesco, on the Tesco Entertainment website or download it from iTunes.
Fifty pence from the sale of each album goes to support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.
